The Committee

The current Old Boys’ Association Executive, as per our Rules, are:


Billy Hadnett (1993-99): Chairman

Billy attended St Peter’s from 1993 to 1999 and was a proud Nolan man. He then returned to  SPC from 2009 to 2015, where he taught Year 7 and 8. Billy was also the Head of Football and the Middle School Director of Religious Studies. He is currently working at Christ the King Catholic School in Owairaka as a Year 5 and 6 teacher, Leader of Pastoral Care and Director of Religious Studies.  In his personal life he enjoys playing football and cricket. During his playing days at Avondale Cricket Club Billy was Chairman of the club for two years. He lives in Mt Albert with his wonderful wife, Teresa and their two daughters Marianna and Rosamaria


Dave-BernardDavid Bernard (1980-86)

David has extensive business experience in the fashion industry, commercial property market and food franchising systems. He currently is the New Zealand Sales Manager for Retail Food Group which is the largest food franchisor in Australasia with some 2,500 stores. David has worked on the St Peters Old Boys’ Association for the past 4 years and enjoys the brotherhood which the group shares. He is married with two beautiful children including a son who is currently a student at St Peters.



Richard Davey

Richard Davey (1980-86)

Since leaving St Peter’s, Richard has worked in the Travel Industry. He has run his own company – Travel Productions -specialising in Corporate Travel for the last 20 years. With this background Richard enjoys being involved with the management of the many events the Old Boys undertake. Married with two children, his son Riley started as a 3rd generation St Peters Lynch boy in 2015.



Kevin-MalloyKevin Malloy (1975-81)

Married with 3 kids and living in Epsom, having spent 17 years away overseas in London, Hong Kong and New York. Kevin works in the advertising world where he is the local boss of the media agencies Starcom and Zenith. He also has global responsibilities for the work Starcom does for key client Coca-Cola. He is currently on the college’s Board of Trustees.

Dr Darius Singh has 20 years of experience in executive management in the following sectors: Manufacturing (as Head of R&D, Ford Motor Company of NZ),  Academia (as Professor in Technology Management and HOD Mechanical Engineering at AUT University) and now Education (as founder and director of the Chrysalis Group –  a multi-award winning group of innovative early learning centres). Darius is a member of the NZ Institute of Directors, and a Fellow of the NZ Institute of Management, and has extensive governing experience in private and public boards. A graduate of SPC in 1989 he continues to have a passion for education and research into innovative teaching and learning practices. He and his wife have three beautiful young children.

Andre Wilkening


JBJames Bentley (Headmaster)

James Bentley was appointed Headmaster of St Peter’s in September, 2015. James began his teaching career at St Peter’s in 1997 before leaving for the United Kingdon for 5 years. James was Head of Social Science at Onehunga High for several years before returning to St Peter’s in 2010 as Deputy Headmaster. James coached rugby and tennis at St Peter’s and is a graduate of Otago University. He is married to Victoria,and they have two children, Elizabeth and Harry.
