The annual Old Boys’ Dinner is the association’s main fundraiser of the year, but more than that it has proved a popular opportunity for Old Boys from throughout the years to reunite in a semi-formal setting. We celebrated the achievements of past-pupils with the inaugural Old Boys of Distinction awards in 2012. Guests such as World Cup-winning Wallaby Anthony Herbert, trans-Tasman rower Shaun Quincey and local comedy star Dave Fane have entertained us, along with raffles and quick-fire auctions. Kieran Fouhy presents his Headmaster’s Report on the state of the college and the achievement of students. College musical groups have given impressive performances, also.
We have been grateful to Simon Dallow who more than once has arrived, somewhat breathlessly straight from his ‘day job’, to undertake the role of emcee. At last year’s dinner he was famously asked by one older attendee, “Have I seen you somewhere before?”
We are always keen to hear from anyone able to assist with any aspect of the evening, particularly auction or raffle items.
